What
is HR’s greatest value to the company?
“Strategic HR” is a term that is often discussed
yet rarely defined.
Most executives today simply want HR to be better aligned
with their core business objectives and results, or as is
often stated, “I want HR to be a closer partner with
our core business”.
When examined further, partnering means:
1) Providing strategic leadership and 2) Delivering the programs
and services that place the right people, in the right place,
at the right time, with the right skills and training, at
the right compensation.
This partnering is at the top of the HR value pyramid and
provides the competitive advantage executives are looking
for. It is critical to optimize the human capital contribution
which, in turn, maximizes company performance.
